Nail Time: Funky Fingernails and Graduation Goodies

I am all about bright colors this summer, and decided to incorporate the "one nail a different color" trend. This is great for anyone (like me) who can't decide on one color to use and likes to shake things up a bit!
Sorry for the yucky webcam quality. I misplaced my camera. :( The pink color is Sally Hansen Fuschia Power and the blue (a favorite of mine right now) is Wet n' Wild Megalast I Need a Refresh-Mint

In other news, this weekend I flew up for Justin's graduation. He found a job and we are so relieved to have a plan and place to live after the wedding! His mom also threw me a wonderful bridal shower. It was a late night last night and work is difficult today, but the trip was well worth it!

Steph's Study: Basin Soy Candle

I love candles. When we went into Basin the first thing I was drawn to was the "Build Your Own Soy Candle" station. Basin is a bath/body store that uses natural ingredients and has a lot of mix & match/build your own stations.
There were 13 different scents in big jars like this that had a scoop inside of each one. We went to the counter and got a jar with a wick inside and away we went!
"Fruit Slices" was my favorite scent. It was so orange-y and refreshing. I stuck with citrus and fruit flavors with a touch of vanilla sprinkled in.
The first layer is Raspberry Lemonade, next is Fruit Slices, Lime Cooler, Vanilla, and topped off with Raspberry Lemonade. It's burning in my living room now and it's delightful! I wish I would have packed the beads down more. And also pushed them toward the center once it started burning down, but I will remember next time. :) This was super fun to make, it smells wonderful, and it burns really nicely! A good purchase for sure!

Fantastic Friday: Panera, Pinterest, and Twilight

My Friday started with a morning trip to Panera for a large iced coffee and a strawberry pastry.

After a *long* day at work, some friends and I got together for a Twilight movie marathon (which unfortunately only lasted halfway through New Moon before we had to call it a night)...

And try out some recipes we got from Pinterest!! Here is my contribution:
This is one of the easiest, most delicious and addicting dips I have ever eaten.

16 oz. sour crem
One packet Ranch dressing mix
3 oz. bacon bits (in bag, not jar)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Mix and refrigerate

Good friends, good food and...cheesy vampire movies. I hope you enjoyed your Friday night as much as I did!

Lipstick Love

I've never been much of a lipstick person, but since bright lips are everywhere this spring/summer I thought I'd jump on that bandwagon and I picked these up.
Wet N Wild MegaLast lip color in 970 Purty Persimmon

Wet N Wild MegaLast in 910D in Red Velvet

The Purty Persimmon is a really nice orange-y red and Red Velvet has more blue undertones. I was really pleased with the application of these lipsticks. They are very smooth and leave a nice matte finish.
Red Velvet

Purty Persimmon
My only criticism so far is that I wore Red Velvet to church this morning and by the time I came home it was just about gone. I haven't worn the other one out yet, but I assume it will last just about as long.
At $2.99 a piece, I think these were pretty good buys!

Outfit of the Day: Cirque de la Symphonie

What a Saturday! Through a very coupon-savvy coworker, one of my friends and I were able to get our hands on great seats for Cirque de la Symphonie at an amazing discounted price.

Cirque de la Symphonie is a group of award-winning Cirque performers who perform with symphonies around the country. There were strong men, aerial artists, a juggler, a contortionist and a ribbon dancer. I had never seen anything like it. I thought I would share some pics and sneak in an outfit of the day!

My top, sunglasses, and jeggings are from Target, my shoes from  Payless, and my purse is from Kohl's!
