I wrote this on Saturday, intending to post it on Sunday. When I failed, I planned to post it on Monday. And Tuesday. And now, here we are.
I've seen a few of these posts floating around and I think it's a really cool idea. Today, since I have the time to actually stop and document what I'm doing, it seems like a good day to give this a shot. Here we go.
5:36 a.m Wake up having to pee. Make the painful decision to get out of my warm bed and go, even though my alarm is going off very shortly. Crawl back into bed and just close my eyes when...
6:20 Alarm starts buzzing. Snooze.
6:25 Check my phone/ipad/social media.
6:30 Grab a handful of clothes...just enough to meet the lowest level of "presentable" (see: sports bra, t-shirt, yoga pants). Take the fastest of showers. Finish morning routine.
7:00 Say goodbye to Justin and head out the door.
7:02 Slip in the icy-doom covered driveway.
7:15 Say a silent prayer of thanks that someone remembered to make coffee for this meeting. Fill up my cup (drink). Converse with coworkers, trying to think up something new to talk about from the 13 hours since we last saw each other. Opening devotion.
8:00 Bathroom break. Second cup of coffee. Meeting is underway.
9:30 Coffee refill. Starting to feel the effects.
10:15 By now I can't sit still. Tapping my feet, drumming my fingers, doodling. Get up and book it out the door as soon as meeting is over.
10:30 Arrive at the gym. Workout. Head home.
12:00 Raid cabinets for lunch. Decide on half a peanut butter sandwich. Watch the latest Big Bang Theory. Chug water.
12:40 Shower. Realize I have no clothes. Fold a mountain of laundry that will probably not get put away until I run out of clothes again. Pop in another Big Bang Theory dvd, and I'm done for the afternoon. Between laundry, knitting, and snuggling with Jethro, I don't leave the couch. Until we make dinner plans with friends and I wait until the last possible minute to start getting ready.
6:30 Finally ready, get in the car and immediately start flipping through radio stations. About 10 minutes into the drive Justin gets crabby and says Can you PLEASE just pick something already?!. I settle on The Fray cd that is in my cd player. Stupid radio.
6:50 Skate through the icy parking lot into the nicest restaurant I've been to in a long time. We get a table by the window and order fancy drinks while waiting for our friends. Then we play hangman while waiting for our food.
8:00 Decide that we want to go bowling rightnow. But realize that there is nowhere in the vicinity that has open bowling. So we settle on coming back to our house to play cards.
...and that, friends, is where the live-blogging ends. Sometime after a few games of euchre and a couple limon and diets, we call it a night. I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my life, and that you had an enjoyable Saturday as well.
